Children's House Lead Guide

About the role

Cornwallstone Montessori Schools (private 0-6 years and public 6-12 years) seeks an AMI-trained Children's House guide to lead a lovely community of 30 children. Join our dedicated team in a beautiful environment colocated with the Montessori Center of Minnesota. This role is ideal for someone who is mission-driven and has experience in primary environments. We are open to discussing a variety of employment models, including part-time or temporary (through the school year).

Responsibilities

• Lead a community of 30 children in a Montessori Children's House setting
• Implement Montessori philosophy and methodology
• Support the development of each child's independence, social skills, and academic foundation
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to maintain a safe and nurturing environment
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices

Requirements

• AMI training and certification
• Experience working with children aged 3-6
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for Montessori education

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Previous Montessori classroom experience preferred

Skills

• Excellent observational and assessment skills
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs
• Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
