Job Summary
The Children and Youth Services Associate II is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of programs for children, youth, and their families at all Women & Children’s Ministries (WCM) program sites. The goal of this program is to help children and youth be spiritually sound, academically strong, and socially skilled.
How you will serve
- Assist the manager in developing programs and curriculum to support the spiritual, educational, and social needs of the children and youth in our enhanced and recovery shelters.
- Implement programs including weekly Bible clubs, ongoing discipleship, educational support, and activities for school breaks.
- Auxiliary responsibilities include assisting with planning and coordinating monthly family activities, coordinating the childcare team for special events, and supporting volunteers assigned to this program.
- Maintain appropriate records and documentation.
- Ensure that all site programs and activities operate consistently with the Mission's mission statement, corporate goals, and core values.
- Participate in organizational meetings, training, and initiatives as required.
- Perform other duties assigned to support the Mission’s success.
How you qualify
- Aceociate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with children or youth. Experience with trauma-informed care for children or youth preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office technology.
- Possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License and be able to meet the standards of the Mission driver criteria required, including but not limited to: a clean driving record, have a License for at least one year, no current suspensions or revocations, and at least 21 years of age.
Work Environment
- Frequently work for extended periods of time in indoor and outdoor settings with varying temperature environment.
- Frequent use of judgement and memory to make decisions.
- Occasionally sit and keyboard.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and walk, use stairways and climb to multiple floors carrying tools and equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay Range
$21.15 Hourly to $27.50 Hourly
