Childcare Van Driver/ Teacher Assistant

About the role

Inspire Early Education is seeking a part‑time Childcare Van Driver for a split‑shift position at Inspire Central O'Fallon, 123 Hutchings Farm Drive, O'Fallon, MO 63366. The role involves safely transporting children to and from the childcare center, ensuring their well‑being during transit.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the childcare center's bus or vehicle to transport children to and from the center, ensuring the well‑being of each child during transit.
• Conduct pre‑trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Strictly adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including ensuring that children are secured in appropriate child safety seats and seat belts.
• Be prepared to respond to emergencies during transit, including administering first aid if necessary, and evacuate children safely in case of accidents.
• Maintain open and clear communication with parents or guardians regarding pick‑up and drop‑off times, and any changes or delays in the schedule.
• Maintain accurate records of daily transportation, including attendance, mileage, and fuel usage.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Valid Missouri Class E License and a school bus (S) endorsement (Required)
• Clean driving record with no history of accidents or traffic violations (Required)
• Ability to pass background and health requirements

Schedule

Split‑shift, part‑time hours: 7:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
