About the role

The Preschool Education Coordinator will work with the leadership team and educators to create a positive and engaging learning environment. This full-time, hands-on leadership role involves supporting the admin team, leading and grooming educators, and collaborating with parents and team members to ensure children's developmental needs are met. Located in Milton, Massachusetts, this position offers a competitive salary and performance bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support teachers in developing and implementing core and enrichment curriculum
  • Support and/or create class and enrichment schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels per school and state policies
  • Support/lead teacher observations, training, coaching, and orientation
  • Support and/or lead state and Goddard administrative requirements
  • Establish positive and productive relationships with families
  • Understand and implement Goddard’s Health & Safety procedures
  • Oversee and support classroom functions and operations, including daily reports, pictures, portfolios, etc.
  • Communicate appropriately and professionally with both parents and fellow staff members
  • Collaborate with other team members to plan and participate in school events and activities
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines set by the school and state regulations
  • Participate in recommended training programs, conferences, and other aspects of professional development
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • A 2-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (will consider relevant teaching experience)
  • Previous teaching/coaching experience in a childcare or educational setting
  • EEC LT Certification (Teacher certification with experience acceptable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and adults
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Availability to work between the hours of 7:00am - 6:00pm

Qualifications

  • Meet state qualifications and those set forth in national hiring standards, including:
  • Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
  • Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses
  • Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
  • Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies
  • Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved
  • Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations
