Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and at least one year of experience in the childcare field or customer service industry.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Basic skills and knowledge of computer software applications.
- Must have an upbeat, creative, fun and learning attitude.
- Certification for child and infant CPR and Basic First Aid is required.
- Must meet Park Board employment and physical standards, which includes a background check, drug and alcohol screening.
- Experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and aptitude to perform the defined duties.
Responsibilities
- Represents the CWAC brand while providing a high level of customer service to visitors and members.
- Maintains professional internal and external relationships in keeping with CPRST core values.
- Administers opening and closing responsibilities for the childcare facilities.
- Supervises and monitors the safety of all children.
- Ensures all children are maintaining good hygiene while the in care of the staff.
- Changes infant and toddler diapers as needed or every 30 minutes in a clean and controlled manner.
- Greets all parents/guardians at drop off and ensures only those authorized to pick up children are allowed to do so.
- Controls substances children may be allergic to and notes any medical issues that may arise with certain children in their care.
- Communicates with parents/guardians any issues that may occur while in the care of the staff.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment at all times.
- Communicates with the Childcare Lead any and all conflicts or issues with children, parents, or guardians.
- Ensures child to caregiver ratios are always at or above industry standard and requirements.
- Knows emergency procedures in the event of a medical or situational emergency.
- Aids the Childcare Lead in maintaining childcare supplies including wipes, diapers, and facility cleaning supplies.
- Attends all meetings as required by superiors.
- Exhibits a high level of professionalism and ethics working amicably with the Park Board, the Executive Director, Administrators, Supervisors, Personnel and Community.
- Exhibits proficiency in written and oral communication.
- Performs other duties as assigned by superiors.
