About the role

The Childcare Floater Teacher Position is available for an experienced individual looking to support children in a variety of age-appropriate activities and educational settings.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities and play.
  • Aid in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
  • Support lead teachers in classroom management and organization.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding children's progress.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and supplies.
  • Adapt to various classroom settings and age groups as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing classroom needs.
  • Passion for nurturing and educating young minds.

Qualifications

  • Registry Level 3 or higher

  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to different classroom environments.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with strong organizational skills.
