About This Role

Cheyenne's Early Learning Center in Bridgeport, CT is hiring a Childcare Center Assistant Director to support daily operations at an early childhood education center.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional support to our management team and all visitors to the center
  • Handle various office tasks
  • Offer polite and professional assistance
  • Supervise and manage staff
  • Hire and train new hires
  • Meet with parents
  • Manage enrollment
  • Develop programs and curricula
  • Establish policies
  • Budget
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Requirements

  • Prior administrative experience
  • Knowledge of CT ELDS/ DOTS
  • Knowledge of NAEYC accreditation a plus
  • Provide 3 professional references
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • MUST have 3+ years working in a Early Childhood setting
  • MUST have 1+ years working in management position
  • Excellent computer skills, especially typing
  • Attention to detail
  • Associate's Degree or higher in related field or degree in ECE
