About the role

Healthy Kids Programs is looking for energetic and passionate individuals to join the team as After School Care Assistant Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. The After School Program Team facilitates hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as homework assistance. Team members provide a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment and act as positive role models for children in the program.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and group activities).
  • Provide homework assistance to children.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment for children.
  • Act as a positive role model for children in the program.
  • Report to the program on time and stay until the last child leaves.
  • Communicate daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.
  • Observe and follow state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing (certain positions).

Requirements

  • 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
  • Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
  • Warm, friendly, and upbeat with exceptional people skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and prompt.
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and keep up with children.

Pay

$14.50 per hour.

Schedule

2:25 pm - 6:00 pm.
