About the role
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Childcare Assistants for their Before and After School Program in Cape May, NJ. They are looking for individuals who love working with children and are passionate about creating an environment where kids can thrive.
Pay
PAY: $16.00 per hour
Schedule
SCHEDULE: SPLIT SHIFT Morning Program hours vary between 7:00 - 8:45 am Afternoon Program hours vary between 2:30 - 5:45 pm

Position Responsibilities
- Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
- Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
Requirements
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma and/or 1 year of childcare experience preferred but not required
- Qualifications: Candidates must successfully pass all required state background checks.
- Requires the ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
- The ideal candidate demonstrates a positive, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when working with children, families, and colleagues, along with a consistent record of reliability and punctuality.
