Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Childcare Assistants for their Before and After School Programs in Collingswood, NJ for the 2026–2027 school year. If you love working with children, leading engaging activities, and being part of a positive, supportive team, you’ll help shape a safe and fun environment where kids can grow and thrive.

Collingswood Early Childcare Center in Collingswood, NJ

PAY

$16.00 per hour

JOB STATUS

Part-Time, Non-Exempt

SCHEDULE

SPLIT SHIFT
Morning Program hours vary between 7:00 - 9:00 am
Afternoon Program hours vary between 2:30 - 5:45 pm

Position Responsibilities

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and/or 1 year of childcare experience preferred but not required
• Successfully pass all required state background checks
• Ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children
• Demonstrates a positive, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when working with children, families, and colleagues, along with a consistent record of reliability and punctuality
