Childcare Assistant – Before & After School

Location: Collingswood Early Childcare Center in Collingswood, NJ
Pay
$16.00 per hour
Schedule
Part-time, split shift:
- Morning Program: 7:00 - 9:00 am
- Afternoon Program: 2:30 - 5:45 pm

Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Certain positions may also perform management functions such as maintaining accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and/or 1 year of childcare experience preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Must successfully pass all required state background checks.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
- Positive, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when working with children, families, and colleagues.
- Consistent record of reliability and punctuality.
