Duties and Responsibilities

  • establishing office procedures
  • researching assigned projects and data
  • coordinating schedules or projects
  • preparing and generating correspondence and reports
  • maintaining and organizing databases, files, and records
  • answering customer service inquiries and technical questions regarding Parks & Recreation
  • operating office equipment such as copiers, scanners, fax machines, and personal computers

Education, Experience, Licensing

Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and four years of related experience. Possession of a valid Florida Class E Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record is required. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Supplemental Information

Must possess strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must possess knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs including Microsoft Word and Excel. Demonstrated abilities in typing, operating specific computer programs, and/or written or verbal communication may be required. Experience working in a recreational atmosphere and the ability to speak, read, and write bilingually is preferred.

Work Hours and Days

Will vary and may include evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Emergency Response/Recovery Activities

All County employees are required to work before, during, or after an emergency as needed. This may include temporarily being assigned to work and performing duties outside of the normal scope of their position, location and work schedule to fit the needs of the County and its citizens.
