Child Welfare Visitation Aide

About the role

We support families by creating opportunities for them to connect, grow, and strengthen their bonds. This role requires adaptability, compassion, and understanding as you work with families. Case Aides collaborate with the AZ Department of Child Safety to support families reunifying with their children.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange, transport, and supervise visitations between children placed in out-of-home care and their families.
  • Foster positive family relations and support the development of helpful parenting skills.
  • Provide education for parents on accessing emergency assistance, support, and community resources.
  • Assist families with goal setting, planning, and home management tasks.
  • Document all services appropriately.
  • Perform other duties related to the position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License with an acceptable 39-month driving record.
  • Reliable transportation, including proof of insurance and Arizona registration.
  • Submit a negative drug test.
  • Obtain an Arizona DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Complete a DCS Central Registry Check Report of Child Abuse and Neglect.
  • Complete Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and First Aid training.
  • Adaptability in scheduling, including afternoon, evening, and weekend work.
  • Willingness to drive throughout the county and work within communities.

Schedule

This position requires afternoon, evening, and weekend work with adaptable scheduling.

Relevant experience may include roles such as Behavioral Coach, Behavioral Health Technician, Case Aide, Child Welfare Specialist, Visitation Facilitator, Community-based Specialist, Child Care Worker, Teacher, Family Support Worker, Group Home Technician, In-home Support, Life Coach, or Mentor.
