Requirements
- Master's degree in human services or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of child welfare and/or family services experience
- Licensure by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board at the master's level. Clinical licensure is preferred
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Passes pre-employment background checks, reference checks, fingerprinting and drug screening
Qualifications
- Experience providing crisis/on call services and 24 hour, 7 days a week support to assigned clients
- Ability to facilitate initial meetings with clients and referral sources (as appropriate)
- Knowledge of conducting mental status exams and developing treatment plan goals and objectives
- Experience working with individuals, families, and groups in counseling settings
- Skills in client advocacy and liaison work with other community services
- Experience monitoring client progress and updating treatment plans based on assessments
- Ability to document all client and collateral contacts in the electronic medical record
- Experience completing discharge summaries and aftercare contacts according to agency policy
- Ability to provide written and verbal progress reports to referring entities within required time frames
- Experience collaborating with other program staff to ensure seamless, effective services
- Ability to travel to various DCCCA locations and other business locations throughout the day including early morning or evening hours
