About the role

The Child Welfare Specialist is responsible for providing support to children and families in crisis situations. This includes assessing needs, implementing interventions, and coordinating services.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing the needs of children and families in crisis situations
  • Implementing evidence-based interventions to support children and families
  • Collaborating with other professionals to coordinate services
  • Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

  • Knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations
  • Experience with trauma-informed care
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Pay

$45,000 - $55,000 annually

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
