About the role
The Child Welfare Specialist is responsible for providing support to children and families in crisis situations. This includes assessing needs, implementing interventions, and coordinating services.
Responsibilities
- Assessing the needs of children and families in crisis situations
- Implementing evidence-based interventions to support children and families
- Collaborating with other professionals to coordinate services
- Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience working with vulnerable populations
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations
- Experience with trauma-informed care
- Excellent organizational and time management skills

$45,000 - $55,000 annually
