About the role
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results-oriented individual to serve as an Intact Services Specialist. Under general supervision, this position provides experienced, short-term, intense child-welfare casework services to intact families in high-risk categories. The role reviews and evaluates safety and risk factors to help children remain safely at home, avoiding separation and/or placement. Responsibilities
- Serve as Intact Services Specialist.
- Provide follow-up to parents and families to ensure appropriate linkages with service providers.
- Provide immediate oversight to families requesting non-investigatory prevention services and make referrals to neighborhood/community resources.
- Prepare and maintain case documentation for planning, implementing, and evaluating services; prepare statistical and narrative reports.
- Work with other Departmental units to facilitate positive outcomes and provision of services for non-child-abuse/neglect matters, including prevention services, dependencies, court supervision, runaways, etc.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the enumerated duties.
Pay
Anticipated starting salary: $6,460/month. Full salary range: $6,460–$9,337/month.
