About the role
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results-oriented Intact Services Specialist. Under general supervision, this position provides experienced, short-term, intense child-welfare casework services to intact families in high-risk categories. The role reviews and evaluates safety and risk factors to keep children safely at home, avoiding separation or placement.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Intact Services Specialist for families requesting non-investigatory prevention services.
- Provide follow-up to parents and families to ensure appropriate linkages with service providers.
- Offer immediate oversight and referral services to neighborhood/community resources.
- Prepare and maintain case documentation for planning, implementing, and evaluating services; compile statistical and narrative reports.
- Collaborate with other Departmental units to facilitate positive outcomes for non-child-abuse/neglect matters, including prevention services, dependencies, court supervision, and runaways.
- Perform other duties as required within the scope of the position.
Pay
Anticipated starting salary: $6,460/month. Full range: $6,460 – $9,337/month.
