What You’ll Do
Program Operations and Staffing
- Create and manage Child Watch staff schedules to ensure coverage during all operating hours
- Coordinate coverage for staff call outs, including same day adjustments when needed
- Communicate schedule changes clearly and promptly to staff and leadership
- Support onboarding, training reinforcement, and daily supervision of Child Watch staff as assigned
- Ensure staffing ratios, safety procedures, and YMCA policies are consistently followed
Birthday Party Planning and Coordination
- Manage the Child Watch birthday party calendar, including scheduling, confirmations, and space coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families regarding birthday party inquiries and bookings
- Prepare and manage all required birthday party documentation, including contracts, waivers, and payment tracking
- Clock staffing needs for birthday parties and ensure staff are prepared for party responsibilities
- Attend birthday parties as needed to provide on-site supervision and program support
- Ensure birthday parties are conducted safely, professionally, and in alignment with YMCA values
Administrative and Communication Duties
- Maintain accurate records related to staffing, schedules, birthday parties, and program documentation
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and internal departments
- Aid with program reporting, supply tracking, and operational planning as requested
- Identify opportunities for improved efficiency, organization, and member experience within Child Watch programming
Safety And Member Experience
- Hold all YMCA child safety, supervision, and behavior management policies
- Respond calmly and professionally to parent concerns, incidents, and staff needs
- Support a positive, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of advanced experience in specialty field and/or pursuing advanced education in a related field (i.e. Dance, Tennis, Martial Arts, etc.)
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
- Experience teaching a minimum of 4 years in the specialized area
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of the specialized area
- Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
