CHILD WATCH ATTENDANT

About the role

Manage and implement activities in a setting designed to provide children a safe and enriching place to be supervised while their parents or guardians are in other areas of the Center. Maintain high personal standards and adhere to and carry out the Purpose and Values of Greater Midland.

Responsibilities

• Maintains appropriate documentation and records for each child.
• Maintains a good relationship with parents through regular communication and active participation with children.
• Encourages children to participate in developmentally appropriate games and learning activities.
• Prepares the area for the program by ensuring toys, supplies, play areas, storage areas, bathroom areas, and furniture are safe, clean, sanitized, organized, and well maintained.
• Attends to the needs of the children including feeding, distributing snacks or drinks provided by parent or guardian, restroom assistance, and diapering needs.
• Ensures safety of the children at all times as that is our number one priority.
• Consistently demonstrates leadership behaviors aligned with Greater Midland’s values.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 16 years old.
• CPR and First Aid Training within 60 days of hire.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Bending and stooping.
• Lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds may be required.

Schedule

Various hours may include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
