About the role

Behavioral Health Resources is seeking a 16 to 32 hours per week outpatient-based Child Psychiatrist. We are looking for a compassionate professional to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of children
  • Work in a comprehensive community mental health setting
  • Perform 2-hour evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups
  • Have dedicated time for paperwork and urgent appointments
  • Collaborate with case managers and therapists in the same office
  • Work flexible hours to accommodate client needs and a team approach

Requirements

  • MD degree with psychiatric specialty
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Washington
  • Board eligible or board certified in child psychiatry (or willing to consider applicants who are board certified in general psychiatry with experience and interest in treating children)
  • Willingness to treat adults, if needed
  • Maintain current DEA license and necessary certificates/working agreements for prescribing schedule II-V drugs

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with treating children and adolescents
  • Knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders

Benefits

  • Compensation: $146- $170 per hour if benefited, and $241 per hour if non-benefited
