Child Passenger Safety Technician PRN - Children's and Women's Hospital

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one car seat inspections with parents and caregivers.
• Demonstrate correct harness fit and secure vehicle installation techniques.
• Select and fit specialized child passenger restraints for children with complex medical needs.
• Train community members on child passenger safety and perform car seat checks.
• Represent the hospital at community events and health fairs.
• Develop and distribute accessible educational materials on pediatric vehicular safety.
• Complete all mandatory department, educational, and hospital requirements.
• Adhere to current Infection Control and Safety Standards.
• Regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
• Related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of child passenger safety technician experience.
• Current certification with Safe Kids Worldwide as an instructor or Child Passenger Safety Technician (upon hire).
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Benefits

Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
