Child Nutrition Truck Driver - 0.8125 FTE at Central Services

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma
• Experience: Minimum 3 months experience
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds; frequent bending, hand-eye coordination, mind-eye coordination, hearing, stooping, speaking, walking, removing, reaching and grasping; ability to drive a vehicle
• Other Requirements: Valid South Dakota driver's license and proof of insurance
• Post-offer drug screening and physical (funded by the District) required prior to starting position
• Post-offer criminal background check required
• Relay Services for Deaf or Hard of Hearing: Dial 711, then the desired number

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads food and supplies
• Drives truck to deliver food and supplies, or fill with fuel
• Assists with set-up of serving line; serves food
• Gathers dirty trays, containers and garbage
• Dumps garbage barrels, flattens boxes, transfers dirty items to dish room, and sanitizes truck
• Keeps truck filled with fuel
• Adheres to District guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Pay

Level GX, starting at $19.92 per hour (2026-2027 Child Nutrition Salary Schedule). Pay day: Last working day of each month, based on the payroll cutoff schedule.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm; 0.8125 FTE, 32.5 hours per week, 9 months.
