Child Nutrition General Worker - 0.5 FTE at Child Nutrition Services
Our Child Nutrition staff play an integral part in serving our mission to continuously improve meals and services to meet nutritional requirements, provide a variety of menu items, and give the healthiest choices with the freshest ingredients available. As a General Worker, you would have the opportunity to share these improvements firsthand with the students of our District through the preparation and serving of our meals.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Ability to follow written and oral directions
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Adhere to District safety procedures
- Valid Driver's License and proof of insurance
- Consistent work attendance
Physical Requirements: Constant standing, hand-eye and mind-eye coordination; frequent repetitive motions with wrists, hands and fingers, bending over, stooping, hearing, holding and crouching.
Responsibilities
- Prepares food
- Sets up serving line
- Serves food
- Cleans serving and preparation area
- Washes dishes, pots, and pans
- Restores order to serving area
- Adheres to District safety procedures
- Reads communications from Child Nutrition Services Office
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Pay
Level DX, starting at $17.75 per hour. Pay Day: Last working day of each month, based on the payroll cutoff schedule.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
0.5 FTE, 20 hours per week, 9 months (2026-2027 school year)
Benefits
Benefits are available for positions working 20 hours per week or more.
