Child Life Specialist - Medical Imaging - Full Time - 1st Shift

About the role

The Child Life Specialist will assess individual patients, facilitate coping techniques, provide play opportunities, establish supportive relationships, collaborate with the health care team, maintain records, and supervise volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Assess individual patients and facilitate coping techniques
• Provide appropriate play opportunities
• Establish supportive relationships with patients and their families
• Collaborate with other members of the health care team
• Maintain appropriate records
• Supervise volunteers and students assigned to the department

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Child Life or closely related field
• Completion of Child Life Internship prior to hire
• ACLP-Child Life Certification Exam ready prior to hire
• Must receive CCLS certification within 1 year of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years pediatric healthcare experience
