Child Life Specialist - Full Time Internship

We are seeking a Child Life Specialist to support children and families during medical experiences. Responsibilities Include Providing education, preparation, and emotional support to children undergoing tests and procedures.Planning and supervising activities and events to promote normal development and socialization in the hospital environment.Advocating for patients and families, emphasizing family-centered care.Supervising students and volunteers to ensure quality care and support. Qualifications Child Life Specialist degree and completion of a supervised internship.Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field.Preferred 2 years of experience in child education or healthcare settings.Certification as a Certified Child Life Specialist within one year of hire.Current BLS certification required upon hire. Skills: Strong understanding of child development and medical terminology.
