Role Overview: A Child Life Specialist provides support to pediatric patients and their families in a hospital environment, focusing on emotional and developmental needs. Key Responsibilities Assess developmental and emotional needs of children and families.Deliver therapeutic play and educational activities to alleviate anxiety.Prepare children for medical procedures using age-appropriate techniques.Collaborate with healthcare team members including nurses, physicians, and social workers.Advocate for family-centered care and contribute to individualized care plans.Promote coping, resilience, and a positive hospital experience for pediatric patients.
