Responsibilities
- Collaborates with health care professionals and hospital staff to provide optimal family-centered care.
- Provides child life services to patients and families as assessed and prioritized, including psycho-social preparation for hospitalization, procedures, surgeries, and/or other potentially stressful events.
- Actively contributes to the efficient operation of the Child Life Department, planning activities, special projects, meetings, and outcome measures.
- Increases awareness of child life services throughout the hospital by providing information about the services, role modeling, medical record documentation, and in-service education.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Child Life, Education, Life Science, or related field.
- Completion of a Child Life Internship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Less than 2 years of experience in a related role.
Schedule
- Monday & Tuesday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
