About the role
This is a Part-Time (0.8 FTE), Day Shift position, working during weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Empower children for life's challenges while providing high quality family-centered care as a part of a strong multidisciplinary team.
- Provide psychosocial and developmental based assessment and support to both patients and their families.
- Plan and provide emotionally and developmentally appropriate care that promotes effective coping with health care and continued cognitive and emotional growth.
- Enhance the quality of patient care through participation, documentation, and communication with other members of the health care team.
- Serve as a resource and advocate on child development issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Child Life or closely related field.
- Upon hire: National Certified Child Life Specialist - Association of Child Life Professionals.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Child Life or closely related field.
- Preferred Qualifications: 1 year work experience as a certified Child Life Specialist.
