Child Interventionist / Behavior Technician / RBT - Part Time
About the role
Butterfly Effects is seeking dedicated Child Interventionists/Behavior Technicians, both entry-level and experienced, to directly assist children with autism in developing vital skills such as communication, social interaction, and self-care. You will collaborate with families to implement ABA-based behavior intervention plans.

Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)
- Observe, record, and report on client’s progress, behavior, and condition daily
- Manage challenging behaviors
- Apply behavioral principles consistently in all client interactions
- Assist clients in acquiring academic and life skills as needed
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, behavior analysts, trainers, and clients
- Act as an active member of the treatment team
- Complete daily paperwork and data collection notes accurately and timely through our online database
- Participate in continuous training programs to enhance skills
- Maintain confidentiality of client information
- Follow Butterfly Effects policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, if already obtained
- Genuine passion for working with children
- Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude for working with children and families
- Prior experience with children is advantageous
- Interest in ongoing professional development
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
- Tablet or laptop computer for use during sessions (smartphone not sufficient)
Physical Requirements
This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
Schedule
Available shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
