About the role
Butterfly Effects is seeking passionate Child Interventionists/ABA Behavior Technicians to teach young children affected by autism. This is a part-time role requiring 10-20 hours per week, with at least 15 hours per week for training in the first three weeks of employment.
Responsibilities
- Teach children essential skills such as communication, sharing, playing, and waiting in their natural environment (typically their home).
- Work with families to implement ABA strategies and improve the child's behavior and social skills.
- Assess the child's progress regularly and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents and other caregivers to ensure consistency in the child's treatment plan.
- Participate in supervision and training to prepare for becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A love and passion for working with children.
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience working with children, especially those affected by autism.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with families and children.
Qualifications
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic about working with children and families.
- Willingness to learn and grow in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills
