Description
The Bridge to Hope is a Christian nonprofit ministry serving single mothers transitioning out of homelessness. Each Monday evening, our moms gather for Bible study and community as they rebuild their lives.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Engage children through play, sensory activities, and simple structured interaction
- Provide patient, supportive care for children who are nonverbal and may communicate in alternative ways
- Create a safe, peaceful environment while their mothers participate in Bible study
- Work alongside a small team of caring volunteers
Ideal Volunteers
- Students studying Special Education, Child Development, Psychology, or related fields
- Patient, compassionate, and attentive individuals
- Those comfortable learning new ways children communicate
- People who value serving families working toward stability and independence
Schedule
- Monday and Thursday evenings (approximately 6:00–8:00 PM)
- Flexible commitment: once, monthly, or regularly

Volunteer Requirements
- Complete a Volunteer Application
- Consent to and pass a Background Check
- Participate in a brief orientation before serving
