Child Engagement Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Child Engagement Specialist to work with a 5-year-old child in the Pico/Robertson area of Los Angeles, CA. This role involves providing supportive one-on-one interaction in both home and community settings to promote confidence and social skills. The successful candidate will have experience with child development and a warm approach to foster trust and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement activities to support social engagement and confidence building.
• Provide personalized support tailored to the child’s interests and developmental needs.
• Encourage participation in community outings and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with the family to maintain a consistent and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in child development, psychology, or education is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, nurturing demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to the child’s evolving needs.

This part-time role involves approximately 10–20 hours per week. The schedule will be discussed based on candidate availability and family needs. No driving, feeding, bathing, or bedtime routines are involved.
