Description
Workdays: Monday - Friday
Works Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Location: 1115 Mission Rd., San Antonio, TX. 78210
Position Responsibilities
- Maintaining contractual compliance (TDFPS, COSA, TRS, EHS)
- Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance
- Comfortably lift and carry children up to 35 lbs.
- Maintain documentation and filing, per contractual requirements
- Complete weekly lesson plans in a timely manner and have peer coach review them before posting on Mondays
- Receive and report daily attendance on each child
- Maintain Daily Infant Report for each child
- Feed, nurture, and play with children, change diapers
- Participate in curriculum planned activities with children and mothers
- Work with supporting technology pieces
- Other duties as assigned by the Child Development program director

Requirements
- Education - Associate's degree, or higher, in Early Childhood Education or similar, preferred. High School Diploma, or equivalent, accompanied with a Child Development Associate credential.
- Experience - Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a licensed childcare facility.
- Licenses and Credentials - Reliable transportation
Valid Texas Identification or Driver license
Valid vehicle insurance
21 years or older - Minimum Knowledge and Skills - Knowledge of TDFPS minimum standards and basic care of infants and toddlers.
Extensive working knowledge of Early Head Start, and Texas Rising Star.
Experience with computer software and can work with a variety of electronic devices and internet-based programming.
A solid grasp of preforming multiple duties
Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
Must have good written and verbal skills.
Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Travel Requirements
Travel requirements for the position includes 1% local and 0% overnight.
