Child Development Housekeeper

About the role

The Housekeeper will be responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of Eliada’s child development facilities.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes Eliada’s child development program buildings regularly.
• Performs sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and other cleaning methods.
• Ensures all areas are in proper order for operations to continue.
• Maintains a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule of cleaning tasks.
• Works autonomously to maintain program and classroom cleanliness.
• Enters work orders as needed to ensure repairs are completed.
• Assists child development department staff with other projects as needed.
• Participates in the agency’s CQI process to ensure quality services.
• Displays competence and responsiveness to cultural differences in customer and employee populations.
• Maintains and services all equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Three years of experience are highly preferred.
• Experience with cleaning and/or sanitation in a child development setting preferred.
• Possession of a valid NC driver license is required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by Eliada's insurance carriers.
• Must be able to sit, walk, and stand for up to 8 hours indoors and outdoors with varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• High School Diploma/GED required.

Pay

$15–$18 an hour
