Child Care Worker - Crisis Nursery (Tuesday-Saturday 11pm-7am)

Job Responsibilities

• Safeguards the daily routine of the Crisis Nursery.
• Maintains the safety, care, and wellbeing of children.
• Prepares meals and organizes mealtimes and snacks.
• Develops and implements schedules and routines for children.
• Engages in nurturing, age-appropriate, and stimulating activities.
• Manages and redirects children’s behavior.
• Assesses children using tools like the Relationship Assessment Tool, Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale, and ASQ.
• Coordinates with parents to provide referrals and community resources.
• Ensures adherence to licensing standards for health, welfare, and safety.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation according to the schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Age 21 or older.
• Associate Degree or Child Development Accreditation Certificate preferred.
• Coursework in child development, early childhood education, or childcare preferred.
• One year of experience working with children, preferably birth to seven years old.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: Hourly rate ranges from $16.60 to $18.60 per hour, with offers commensurate with experience. Bilingual candidates may receive additional compensation. Final salary will be determined based on a range of factors including experience, education, qualifications, and organizational needs.
