Job Responsibilities
- Safeguards the daily routine of the Crisis Nursery.
- Maintains the safety, care, and wellbeing of children.
- Prepares meals and organizes mealtimes and snacks.
- Develops and implements schedules and routines for children.
- Engages in nurturing, age-appropriate, and stimulating activities.
- Manages and redirects children’s behavior.
- Assesses children using tools like the Relationship Assessment Tool, Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale, and ASQ.
- Coordinates with parents to provide referrals and community resources.
- Ensures adherence to licensing standards for health, welfare, and safety.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation according to the schedule.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Age 21 or older.
- Associate Degree or Child Development Accreditation Certificate preferred.
- Coursework in child development, early childhood education, or childcare preferred.
- One year of experience working with children, preferably birth to seven years old.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: Hourly rate ranges from $16.60 to $18.60 per hour, with offers commensurate with experience. Bilingual candidates may receive additional compensation. Final salary will be determined based on a range of factors including experience, education, qualifications, and organizational needs.
