Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
- Must be at least 17 years of age; High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred and some post-secondary training highly preferred
- Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
- Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
- Able to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
- Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
- Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
- Legally allowed to work in the United States
- Have dependable transportation
- Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
About the Role
As a Child Care Worker at Mentoring Alliance After School, you will foster youth development in an after school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. You will have the opportunity to make an eternal impact and be a role model to kids in your community. This is a non-exempt, part-time position averaging 17-20 hours per week.Responsibilities
- Foster youth development through enrichment activities
- Lead elementary students in various after school programs
- Ensure safety and supervision of students during program hours
- Engage in activities that promote academic and personal growth
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance student experiences
Requirements
