We are looking to hire a Childcare Teacher As a Child Care Teacher at MercyOne, you will assist in executing educational programs and care for children in line with the center’s written goals, policies, and philosophies. Schedule . full-time 40 hours per week General Requirements Identifies and demonstrates proper diaper changing and hand washing procedures.Participates in the assessment of children and participates in parent / teacher conferences as needed.Exhibits interpersonal skills to relate to adults and children at all levels in a positive way.Demonstrates understanding of developmentally appropriate practices.Understands and is able to demonstrate use of general office equipment.Assumes responsibility for the health, safety and general well-being as well as social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of the children assigned to classroom.Documents incident/accident reports, medication forms, daily notes (infants, toddlers and two’s), and lesson plans (threes’, fours, and Pre-K).Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations, the Trinity Healthy Organizational Integrity Program, including the Standard of Conduct, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behaviors. Education Must be certified in infant, child, and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation within 3 months of hire.Must be certified in infant, child and adult first aid if working 20 hours or more per pay period within 3 months of hire.Must pass a pre-employment health assessment and every three years thereafter.Must pass a Department of Human Services Child Abuse and Criminal Records check upon initial employment and every five years thereafter.Must be 18 years of age or older. 6.
