About the role

The Child Care School Director at Little Sprouts – Wilmington oversees the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. The director is responsible for managing staff, implementing educational programs, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center
• Manage staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Implement and maintain educational programs aligned with state standards
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and support
• Develop and manage budgets for the childcare center
• Assist with fundraising efforts to support the center's operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in child care management
• Valid Massachusetts Childcare Director License
• Experience with curriculum development and implementation
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and mentor staff
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of early childhood education theories and practices
• Experience with budgeting and financial management
