Child Care Provider
How Will You Make an Impact in This Role?
- Supervise and monitor the safety of the children in your care
- Organize mealtimes and snacks for children
- Develop schedules and routines for children
- Ensure children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use
- Facilitate children in problem-solving
Who You Are:
- Careconscientious and care about the safety of all children
- Organized and able to create schedules and routines for the children
- A creative individual who utilizes play and other instructional techniques to assist in children's development
- An effective communicator with children, staff, and parents
- Observant and able to detect any signs of illness, injury, issues, child abuse, or child neglect and able to report to appropriate authorities
Minimum Qualifications And Competencies:
- Education/Background: High School Diploma/GED AND Child Development Associate (CDA) or must be willing to work towards obtaining a Child Development Associate (CDA) within 6 months of hire required
- Some experience working or volunteering with young children is preferred
- Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) is preferred
- First Aid/CPR Certified or willing to obtain within the first 6-months of employment is required
- Applicants must obtain Food Handlers card upon hire
- TB Skin Test or chest X-ray NM ECECD Background Clearance
