Responsibilities
- Maintains compliance with licensing and registration standards for child-care facilities.
- Conducts investigations into complaints and allegations of minimum standards violations.
- Evaluates new applications for child-care facilities to issue permits.
- Provides training and technical assistance to child-care providers.
- Responds to emergency complaints of high-risk situations in licensed operations.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s License.
- Knowledge of Texas laws and regulations.
- Experience in regulatory services such as inspections and investigations.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
- For Inspector IVs: Experience in regulatory services including experience as a regulatory inspector.
- For Inspector Vs: Experience in regulatory services including experience as a regulatory inspector or investigator.
Skills
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Critical thinking and identifying risk and mitigation measures.
- Ability to de-escalate situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to self-start, organize, and manage priorities.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment including camera/AV equipment.
- Ability to travel.

$4,250.00 - $5,094.16 per month
