Child Care Lead Teacher

Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, following NAEYC guidelines.
• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 4 years and up in one assigned classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that encourages children to grow and explore.
• Partner with families to develop plans for the best care and education of their children.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child’s progress.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR Career Pathway Level 3 OR Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
• 1 year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
