Child Care Kitchen Technician (Part-time)

About the role

0.6 FTE (24 hours/week), day shift, Monday-Friday. Onsite at our Child Care Center. Part-time opportunity with a consistent weekday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children in accordance with childcare center guidelines and nutritional standards.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, including food preparation areas, equipment, and storage spaces.
• Follow food safety procedures, proper handling practices, and state licensing requirements.
• Monitor inventory, rotate supplies, and assist with ordering food and kitchen products.
• Accommodate special dietary needs and allergies as directed.
• Collaborate with childcare staff to support meal service and promote a positive dining experience for children.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service, kitchen, dietary, childcare, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements related to standing, lifting, and food preparation activities.
