Child Care Cook

Wilder Child Development Center is seeking a passionate individual to prepare healthy, appetizing, and well-balanced meals for children ages 16 months to 5 years old in a child-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily meals that meet CACFP requirements for portion sizes and food production records
• Plan and cook for large groups of children
• Complete essential functions using Microsoft Office Suite and web browsers (menu planning, meal tracking, food ordering)
• Prepare culturally diverse meals that represent the clients and families at the center
• Work cooperatively as a team member with a diverse group of staff and clients

Requirements

• Love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day
• Serve Safe certification (required)
• Food Manager’s License (preferred)
• One year of experience cooking for and serving large groups of people
• Basic math and reading skills
• Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and web browsers
