As the Child Care Cook, Food Specialist, you will be responsible for overall food preparation for the school’s enrolled children, adapting to menu changes and meeting meal and snack schedules.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within the school's menu and budget, complying with state and federal requirements.
• Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff, and distribute food to classrooms.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director, incorporating USDA, licensing, and/or health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies, and order more as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed in the role of Assistant Teacher/Floater.

Requirements

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility, preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility regarding work hours and schedule.

Pay

Compensation based on position, education, and experience. Food Specialist pay range: $14.70–$15.27 per hour. Bi-weekly and daily pay options available.

Schedule

Monday through Friday work week. Flexible schedules with no nights or weekends.
