Child Care Attendant (substitute)
About the role
HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is seeking Child Care Attendants to join our team. This role involves safe and fun play with children in our facilities, with a flexible schedule based on demand.
Responsibilities
- Greeting each parent and interacting with them.
- Planning and assisting with activities for children, including stimulating and age-appropriate games and tasks.
- Observing and playing with children to ensure they are safe and engaged in developmental activities.
- Participating in various child activities such as reading, painting, and crafts.
- Sanitizing toys and play equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Child/Infant CPR/AED/first aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute required within 45 days of hire.
- Knowledge and experience with young children is strongly preferred.
- Experience in customer service is preferred.
- Able to multi-task and work quickly and accurately.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Compensation
Compensation is $11.00/hr - $13.50/hr, depending on experience and qualifications. Final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
