ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Builds personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests. While exemplifying the Y’s commitment to the four-character values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility and responds to all member and community inquiries promptly. - Helps with implementing curriculum within the established guidelines. - You must be dependable and build consistency and stability in the classroom for the children in your care. Full-time dependability is crucial to this role. - Helps with supervising the children, classroom, and activities at all times. - Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child. - Maintains program site and equipment. - Helps with keeping required program records. - Attends and takes part in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training (18 hours per year)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Meets educational and experience qualifications established by childcare licensing. - At least 18 years of age. - CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date. - Health form completed within 30 days of hire date. - At least 1 year of experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
