Child Care Assistant Teacher

Center: Hertel Ave, NY • Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour • Full-Time, no evenings or weekends

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction and activities.
• Decorate inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that encourages children to grow and explore.
• Interact with children to foster their involvement in activities.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child’s progress.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Proficiency in functional written and oral English.
• Must meet state criteria for childcare employment.
