Child Care Aide

Part-time positions are available with the Child Care Division of the Department of Recreation and Parks. Applicants must be able to work weekdays. School-Age positions are AM and/or PM providing care before and after school. Preschool positions may be available anytime from 6:45 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Minimum Age

Minimum age - 16 years

Experience

Preferable that applicant has experience working with the age group they are applying for

Additional Pre-Service Requirement

• 9 clock hours in communicating with staff, parents & the public
• 3 clock hours in an Aide orientation (provided by employer)

Training Required

• Basics of Behavior Management
• CPR and First Aid (provided by employer)
