Child Autism Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. The role involves implementing individualized behavior intervention plans using evidence-based techniques to teach essential skills and reduce interfering behaviors.

About the Role

This role requires patience, compassion, and teamwork. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure success. The work can be physically demanding and may involve handling children up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Reduce interfering behaviors using evidence-based techniques
• Work one-on-one with children
• Provide support and encouragement to children with autism
• Participate in ongoing professional development

Requirements

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient and compassionate
• Able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification, and a tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
