The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals and families. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to clients facing various challenges, including mental health issues, developmental disabilities, and trauma-related conditions.
This role is available on a PRN basis, with additional shifts available such as 8:00am-5:00pm, 5:00pm-11:00pm, and 11:00pm-8:00am. Candidates should also be prepared to work within the hospital system, including specialty clinics, ambulatory clinics, inpatient units, and emergency departments.
- Child and Family Therapy Service Provision and Documentation: Provide evidence-based mental health treatments to patients and families within the clinical area they are assigned.
- Case Management and Collaboration: Maintain ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships, assist families with accessing community services, and transition to other treatment providers when needed.
- Professional Development: Demonstrate active involvement and leadership within the team, department, and hospital by regular attendance at meetings and educational opportunities, serving as a consultant for other members of the department and hospital, participating on committees, and responding to hospital and/or community requests for educational programs.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- A Master's Degree from an accredited program, with 1-2 years of experience.
- A clinical social work license (LCSW/LSCSW) or professional counseling license (LPC/LCPC) in the state of primary work location upon hire, and then be dually licensed in both states MO and KS within 90 days of employment.
